Bleach Filler List: Every Episode You Can Skip

    The Big Skippable Arcs

    The Bount Arc (64–109)

Anime-original filler about Quincy-like soul-stealing humans. Self-contained, low stakes, no canon implications. Skip without guilt.

    New Captain Shusuke Amagai (168–189)

Filler about a temporary captain in Squad 3. Cleanly skippable.

    Zanpakuto Rebellion (230–265)

This one is contested. It is filler, but it spends meaningful time fleshing out the Zanpakuto spirits of characters you care about. If you love the Soul Reapers, the character moments are genuinely fun. If you just want plot, skip.

    Gotei 13 Invading Army (317–342)

Pure filler bridging into the final canon arc. Skip.

The Arcs That Have Canon Moments

A handful of mostly-filler stretches contain brief canon scenes. The safest play is to watch the canon-only re-edits available across most legal platforms, or use a guide-tracked list of "must-watch within filler" episodes.

    Fastest Route Through Bleach

If you want the cleanest, canon-only path:

    1. 1Watch episodes 1–63 (Substitute Shinigami + Soul Society).
    2. 2Watch 110–131 (Arrancar intro).
    3. 3Watch 132–151, then 152–167 (Hueco Mundo Part 1).
    4. 4Watch 190–203 (Hueco Mundo Part 2).
    5. 5Watch 204–212, then 215–226, then jump to 266–267 (Fake Karakura).
    6. 6Watch 268–286 (Hueco Mundo wrap-up).
    7. 7Watch 287–316 (Aizen's defeat).
    8. 8Watch 343–366 (Lost Substitute Shinigami / Fullbring).
    9. 9Then the entire Thousand-Year Blood War run.

That is roughly 200 episodes — about 80 hours instead of 160.

    What About Thousand-Year Blood War?

There is zero filler in TYBW. Watch every episode. It is the canon ending Bleach always deserved.
